I know i've only visited this site in the last month but a lot of you have made me feel very welcome in this short time.

Well, I don't know where to start but after 23 days of tube feeding my little miracle boy pug every 3 hours, he was put to sleep a little while ago. Apparently, just as I was warned from day 1, there are other congenital problems associated with cleft palate puppies. I had taken him to the vet last week cause I thought he was constipated but that also turned out to be a problem with his digestive tract. He hadn't gone to the bathroom in 3 days going into today. In the last 2 days he started foaming what seemed to be milk and mucous from his nose and at certain times would seem to be having trouble breathing. Something told me last night today would be a sad day. I posted a message here at 5:30 am because I couldn't sleep fearing the worst. I held him the whole night and he even fell asleep on me at 6 am on the couch. Now, he is no longer suffering. God bless him.

Thanks again for all your support you guys are all great. It' heartbreaking how attached one can become to a newborn pup in just 23 days. Take care.....Ernie and Cristy

I am deeply sorry for your loss. You did all that you could possibly do. I know how painful his loss must be for you and your family. He is not in any pain or suffering now. It is amazing how a little creature like that can touch your life so deeply. You are in my thoughts.

Ernie and Cristy,
I'm very sorry for your loss. I can really imagine how attached you must have gotten to your little baby, especially having cared for him so thoroughly for over three weeks. Even though you just joined, I hope you'll stick around and come back and visit when you feel ready. You're in my thoughts,
Anya

I am sorry to hear of your heartbreaking news....it is hard with these little guys cause we DO become very attached to them very quickly...how can you not!!....Just think though....little puppies are needed for the kids in heaven to play with...so your puppy was a "chosen" one...now able to run and play with all the children who got there earlier then their time. Blessings to your family.

My little angel's pics finally came out in the picture gallery today. Just looking at him makes tears come out of my eyes and i'm a grown man. We feel like there's something missing in our daily routine not having to tube feed him every 3 hours or so. For those of you who wondered what this special little guy looked like, I posted 2 pics on there on June 2nd I believe. One of him in a Starbucks coffee cup and the 2nd one with his daddy "Junior".

God bless that beautiful little dog, we miss him so much already Crying or Very sad
